The Country Club of Buffalo, located in Williamsville, NY, stands as one of Western New York's premier country clubs, combining rich tradition with a strong sense of community and service excellence. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 4-5 years related experience or training
- continuous certification in responsible alcohol service
- proficiency in Club Management Software
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- 4-5 years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- hospitality degree preferred
- continuous certification in responsible alcohol service (TIPS or related)
- proficiency in Jonas Club Management Software
- proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Job Duties
- Ensure service execution exceeds member expectations at the bar
- greet members and guests and establish a professional rapport
- supervise all bar employees directly
- develop weekly schedules for the bar team
- consult with Catering and Banquet Managers on staffing needs for events
- hold meetings with bar staff to coordinate efficient service
- maintain professional appearance and enforce dress code
- provide initial and ongoing staff training
- develop and implement training manuals and programs
- update bar items on the POS system
- participate in weekly Food and Beverage and catering meetings
- manage inventory of bar supplies
- develop cocktail lists and update wine list
- maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
- keep bar areas clean and stocked
- make notes of equipment issues
- maintain storage areas
- create SOPs for team standards
- manage staff disciplinary records
- perform annual reviews
- enforce laws and Club policies on alcohol service
- uphold Club mission, policies, and culture
- complete projects assigned by Assistant General Manager
- speak effectively before groups
