Job Requirements

  • Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift up to 10 hours
  • frequent bending and stooping
  • must be able to lift up to 30 lbs including moving beer kegs
  • must be able to hear well in loud environments
  • prior bar experience
  • basic college coursework or equivalent
  • able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • College coursework with bachelor’s degree preferred
  • minimum of six months restaurant management experience
  • minimum of two years bar experience with extensive knowledge of bar operations
  • prior experience in purchasing and production
  • ability to read and write English
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • knowledge of inventory management and beverage cost control
  • ability to train and develop staff

Job Duties

  • Drive sales through local marketing initiatives as outlined in bar manuals and operational playbooks
  • identify operational opportunities to build sales and control costs and develop plans to address them
  • collaborate with bartenders and staff to promote local events and promotions
  • staff, train, and develop hourly team members through feedback, coaching, and performance reviews
  • manage scheduling and ensure proper staffing for all shifts
  • manage daily bar operations including guest interaction, decision-making, and maintaining standards
  • maintain beverage quality through cleanliness, organization, and proper storage
  • purchase, receive, and store beverage products efficiently and cost-effectively
  • manage inventory accurately and minimize waste
  • oversee bar equipment operations and preventive maintenance
  • act as Manager on Duty in the General Manager’s absence overseeing restaurant operations
  • ensure security procedures protect team members, guests, and company assets
