Job Requirements
- Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift up to 10 hours
- frequent bending and stooping
- must be able to lift up to 30 lbs including moving beer kegs
- must be able to hear well in loud environments
- prior bar experience
- basic college coursework or equivalent
- able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- College coursework with bachelor’s degree preferred
- minimum of six months restaurant management experience
- minimum of two years bar experience with extensive knowledge of bar operations
- prior experience in purchasing and production
- ability to read and write English
- strong communication and leadership skills
- knowledge of inventory management and beverage cost control
- ability to train and develop staff
Job Duties
- Drive sales through local marketing initiatives as outlined in bar manuals and operational playbooks
- identify operational opportunities to build sales and control costs and develop plans to address them
- collaborate with bartenders and staff to promote local events and promotions
- staff, train, and develop hourly team members through feedback, coaching, and performance reviews
- manage scheduling and ensure proper staffing for all shifts
- manage daily bar operations including guest interaction, decision-making, and maintaining standards
- maintain beverage quality through cleanliness, organization, and proper storage
- purchase, receive, and store beverage products efficiently and cost-effectively
- manage inventory accurately and minimize waste
- oversee bar equipment operations and preventive maintenance
- act as Manager on Duty in the General Manager’s absence overseeing restaurant operations
- ensure security procedures protect team members, guests, and company assets
