Job Requirements

  • College coursework with bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum of 6 months of restaurant management experience
  • minimum of 2 years of bar experience with extensive knowledge of bar operations
  • prior experience in purchasing and production
  • must be able to walk and stand during entire shift up to 10 hours
  • frequent bending and stooping required
  • must be able to lift up to 30 lbs including maneuvering beer kegs
  • must be able to read and write English
  • must be able to hear well amongst loud background noise

Job Duties

  • Drives sales through local marketing initiatives in line with bar manuals and operational playbooks
  • identifies operational opportunities to build sales and control costs and implements plans to address these
  • collaborates with bartenders and key staff to promote events and promotions
  • staffs, trains, and develops team members with ongoing feedback and performance reviews
  • ensures new hires complete training programs including paperwork
  • coaches and develops talent while elevating staff morale
  • maintains accurate manpower plans and prepares staff schedules
  • manages daily bar operations including decision-making, guest interaction, and upholding operational standards
  • anticipates guest needs and addresses complaints promptly
  • maintains beverage quality through cleanliness, organization, and sanitation
  • observes and resolves operational issues promptly
  • manages purchasing, receiving, and inventory of beverage products efficiently and cost-effectively
  • understands and maintains bar equipment
  • ensures proper setup for shifts in terms of product, equipment, and ambiance
  • acts as Manager on Duty in the General Manager's absence overseeing the entire restaurant operation
  • ensures security procedures protect team, guests, and assets
