Job Requirements

  • Must be able to walk and stand for up to 10 hours per shift
  • frequent bending and stooping required
  • must be able to lift up to 30 lbs including beer kegs
  • must be able to read and write English
  • must be able to hear well in noisy environments
  • prior bar and restaurant management experience required
  • knowledge of bar equipment operations and preventive maintenance

Job Qualifications

  • College coursework with Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • minimum 6 months of restaurant management experience
  • minimum 2 years of bar experience with extensive knowledge of bar operations
  • prior experience in purchasing and production
  • ability to provide effective coaching and talent development
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of inventory and cost control techniques
  • ability to adapt to changing needs and manage multiple priorities
  • proficiency in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • ability to handle guest service and complaint resolution professionally

Job Duties

  • Drive sales through local marketing initiatives
  • identify operational opportunities to build sales and control costs
  • develop and implement plans to address opportunities
  • staff, train and develop bartenders through ongoing feedback and coaching
  • manage daily bar operations including decision-making, staff support and guest interaction
  • ensure beverage quality and cleanliness standards
  • oversee purchasing, receiving and storage of beverage products
  • manage inventory cost-effectively
  • supervise bar equipment operations and maintenance
  • act as Manager on Duty in absence of General Manager
  • ensure proper security procedures are in place
  • handle guest relations and vendor issues
  • participate in hiring and termination decisions
  • promote team morale and proper business conduct
  • prepare staffing schedules and manpower plans
  • monitor and enforce recipe standards
  • resolve guest complaints promptly
