Job Duties

  • Understand and promote a positive and respectful workplace attitude
  • Manage daily bar operations focusing on cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Report to the Beverage Director and uphold food, beverage, and service quality
  • Ensure smooth food and beverage service for pleasurable guest experiences
  • Maintain and service beverage programs with focus on cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Support beverage programs emphasizing cocktails, beers, and NAB
  • Complete schedules for the bar team
  • Lead bar and floor teams to ensure exceptional service and product standards
  • Educate staff on beverage offerings
  • Ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards
  • Oversee bar service including opening and closing shifts
  • Maintain detailed opening and closing checklists for bartenders
  • Develop training programs and schedules for new bartender hires
  • Create and maintain daily side work schedules
  • Assist with recruitment, scheduling, and disciplinary actions of the bar team
  • Set up and maintain bar preparation systems including juicing, syrups, batching, and kegging
  • Ensure courteous and efficient guest service
  • Maintain a welcoming and orderly bar environment
  • Respond promptly and positively to customer concerns
  • Monitor, evaluate, and audit offerings to initiate improvements
  • Build relationships with repeat guests
  • Develop operational guidelines and recommend improvements
  • Plan, purchase, and organize the restaurant's beverage inventory
  • Maintain costing and sales targets
  • Submit monthly liquor, beer, and non-alcoholic beverage inventories
  • Prepare policies and standard operating procedures with the General Manager
