Job Requirements

  • Must be able to walk and stand for entire shifts up to 10 hours
  • Frequent bending and stooping required
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs including maneuvering beer kegs
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must be able to hear well amidst loud noise
  • Proven ability to manage bar operations and staff
  • Experience with local marketing and promotions
  • Knowledge of beverage control and cost management
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • College coursework with bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of restaurant management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of bar experience with extensive knowledge of operations
  • Prior experience in purchasing and production
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage guest relations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Drive sales through local marketing initiatives
  • Identify operational opportunities to build sales and control costs
  • Staff, train and develop bartenders and hourly team members
  • Manage bar operations during shifts ensuring standards, quality and cleanliness
  • Monitor beverage purchasing, receiving and storage to optimize costs
  • Manage inventory accurately and cost-effectively
  • Act as manager on duty in absence of general manager overseeing entire restaurant operation
  • Ensure proper security procedures to protect team members, guests and assets
