Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Extensive high-volume bar management experience
- Valid training or certification for responsible alcohol service
- Food safety certification as per state regulations
- Minimum 1 year of experience in labor scheduling and management
- Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
- Willingness to work late nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in a loud, high-energy environment
- Must be able to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, twisting, and repetitive hand and wrist motions
Job Qualifications
- Extensive high-volume bar management experience
- Passion for bar and restaurant experience with a guest-first focus
- Outstanding leadership skills to build and maintain excellent teams
- Training or certification in responsible alcohol service
- Food safety certification
- At least 1 year of experience scheduling and managing labor
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Proficiency in restaurant functions including planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial planning
- Excellent decision-making ability
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to accept feedback and think like an owner
Job Duties
- Responsible for hiring, training and retaining the best bar talent in the industry
- Executes training and development of team members through orientations, ongoing feedback, and performance reviews
- Enforces policies and procedures and follows disciplinary action standards
- Ensures safety standards are communicated to and followed by the team members each shift
- Responsible for training team members in cleanliness and sanitation practices
- Leads by example and acts as a role model for great performance
- Responsible for overall execution of multiple bars including hiring, training, performance/conduct management, brand image, bar execution, guest service, drink recipe adherence, cost controls, and menu recommendations
- Completes shift, financial, and personnel/payroll administrative duties accurately and timely
- Schedules labor according to anticipated business activity while maintaining cost objectives
- Controls labor cost by scheduling and monitoring employee work results
- Maintains operations by executing policies, procedures, productivity, quality, and service standards
- Monitors, evaluates and audits food, beverage, and service offerings to maintain guest satisfaction
- Establishes and enforces sanitation standards and complies with health and legal regulations
- Ensures consistent preparation and service of food and beverage according to recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
- Orders products according to specifications and verifies deliveries
- Controls liquor cost and usage through proper requisition, storage, recipe adherence and waste control methods
