Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have current alcohol and food safety certifications or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in high-volume bar management
  • Proven experience in staff leadership and training
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended hours
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
  • Ability to work late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform all bar employee level functions
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, loud environment with live entertainment

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive high-volume bar management experience
  • Passion for bar and restaurant service with guest-first attitude
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Certified for responsible service of alcohol
  • Food-safety certified
  • At least 1 year of experience scheduling and managing labor
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Proficient in restaurant planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, budgeting and financial planning
  • Excellent decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Responsible for hiring, training and retaining bar staff
  • Execute training and development of team members through orientations and performance reviews
  • Enforce policies and procedures and follow disciplinary action standards
  • Ensure safety standards are communicated and followed each shift
  • Train team members in cleanliness and sanitation practices
  • Lead by example and be a role model for great performance
  • Manage overall execution of multiple bars including brand image, guest service, drink recipe adherence, cost controls and menu recommendations
  • Complete shift, financial, and payroll administrative duties accurately and on time
  • Schedule labor according to business activity and control labor costs
  • Maintain operations by executing policies and standard operating procedures
  • Monitor and evaluate food, beverage, and service offerings to maintain guest satisfaction
  • Establish and enforce sanitation standards and comply with health regulations
  • Ensure consistent preparation and serving of food and beverages
  • Order products according to specifications and receive deliveries following policies
  • Control liquor cost and usage by security and waste control procedures
