Job Requirements

  • Education equivalent to at least 5 years management experience in a bar-focused full service high-volume restaurant
  • Proven leadership in a similar hospitality environment
  • Ability to manage a team of 12 managers and up to 150 hourly team members
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including transporting up to 30 pounds and standing for prolonged periods
  • Capable of working 12+ hour shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job functions
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Managerial experience of 5 years in a bar-focused full service, high-volume restaurant
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with back office and POS systems such as Restaurant 365, Hot Schedules, and Micros
  • Proficient in P&L analysis and various reporting
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Hospitality degree (Associates, Bachelors, Certificates) preferred
  • Serv Safe Certified
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Source, hire, lead, coordinate, coach, and direct all bartenders and barbacks
  • Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and react instantly to anything less than a 5 star experience
  • Train and validate new bartenders and barbacks, as well as provide ongoing training and coaching to all existing team members
  • Schedule bartenders and barbacks to budget for proper coverage and effectiveness based on performance
  • Oversee beverage cost and run costs to goal or better by managing standards and holding bartenders and department managers accountable
  • Perform accurate inventories and clearly communicate beverage cost to leadership
  • Manage controllable costs to goal and be responsible for the overall bar and beverage P&L results
