Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently lift and bend from the waist
  • must be able to stand for long periods
  • this position requires frequent use of hands and arms in repetitive motions

Job Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years in a management or supervisory role preferably in a full service restaurant
  • previous work in the hospitality industry with a passion for service
  • strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine
  • ability to lead and deliver a high performance team environment
  • organized and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • basic computer skills
  • capable of working overtime, weekends, evenings, and special events
  • knowledge of industry and relevant health and safety regulations
  • current manager handler card preferred
  • leadership skills and ability to make decisions quickly and under pressure

Job Duties

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in all beverage-related operations
  • conduct training sessions for new and current staff
  • maintain overall responsibility and awareness of beverage cost
  • ensure all bar staff execute steps of service
  • communicate menu changes, updates, and specials to bar staff and management
  • manage the liquor room including inventory inflow and outflow, protection, and organization
  • assist staff in continuous growth and learning per company standards
  • monitor beverage costs including comps, voids, and spills nightly
  • inform management of staffing needs or unexpected changes
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and liquor room
  • ensure opening and closing duties are completed
  • schedule bartenders and barbacks
  • verify correct product usage as specified by Beverage Director and menu
  • relay menu changes to management and staff
  • oversee cocktail preparation ensuring correct measurements and ingredients
  • promote staff incentive programs
  • perform monthly inventory
  • organize inventory
  • manage ordering and receiving process
  • ensure safekeeping of invoices
  • manage staff scheduling
  • monitor breaks and overtime
