Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Some college or degree preferred
  • Two years previous managerial experience preferably in food or bar services industry
  • Ability to stand and walk extensively for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work irregular hours under pressure
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic calculations
  • Must be able to communicate clearly
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cleaning chemicals
  • Must be physically flexible and mobile

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manages bar operations to achieve sales and profit targets
  • Provides direction and oversight to back of house staff
  • Ensures all alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages are prepared and presented according to standards
  • Maintains proper inventory levels through ordering and yield application
  • Ensures compliance with productivity, service, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Conducts staffing, training, performance reviews, and employee counseling
  • Manages financial data including payroll, supplies, inventories, costs, and expenses
  • Attends management and regional bar meetings
  • Resolves conflicts and system breakdowns to promote guest satisfaction
