Job Requirements
- Tertiary (middle management) qualifications preferred
- Experience managing bar or beverage service operations
- Comprehensive knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Familiarity with business management principles and practices
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Experience with cost control procedures
- Knowledge of human resource management practices
- Understanding of administrative procedures
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications
- 10+ years in the hospitality industry
- Proven track record of running a profitable business
- Familiarity with modern POS systems
- Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Current mixology certification
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to submit to a background check
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring service standards are maintained and guest satisfaction is prioritized
- Oversee all aspects of bar staff management, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for beverages, glassware, and bar essentials, ensuring sufficient stock
- Create and maintain beverage menus, including specialty cocktails, promotions, and seasonal offerings
- Ensure proper mixing, garnishing, and serving of beverages in line with company standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, maintaining cleanliness of the bar and storage areas
- Manage the bar's budget, control costs, and maximize profitability by tracking sales, labor, and beverage costs
- Conduct regular inventory checks, working to minimize waste, theft, and over-pouring
- Address guest complaints, resolve issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with the kitchen and restaurant management to coordinate beverage service for events and large reservations
- Oversee point-of-sale (POS) systems and ensure adherence to cash handling procedures
- Implement and promote responsible alcohol service policies in compliance with local laws
- Continuously assess and improve bar operations to enhance efficiency, guest experience, and profitability
- Develop and execute marketing strategies, including hosting events, happy hours, and promotions to attract new guests
- Perform other duties as assigned
