Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • High school diploma required
  • Previous supervisory responsibility required
  • Must have knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
  • Must have knowledge of health department rules and regulations
  • Must have knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
  • Long hours sometimes required
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to listen, understand and clarify concerns
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Must comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations
  • Must be able to handle problems including anticipating and solving them
  • Must maintain confidentiality of information
  • Must maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise all aspects of bar operations and beverage outlets
  • Maintain profitable operation and high-quality product and service levels
  • Promote business ideas to increase revenue
  • Reduce employee turnover through effective leadership
  • Manage revenue and payroll budgets
  • Meet budgeted productivity and quality standards
  • Attend hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Participate in manager-on-duty (M.O.D.) coverage as required
  • Ensure compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards
  • Handle and resolve problems effectively
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management
  • Maintain a warm, friendly demeanor at all times
