Job Requirements
- Meet the minimum legal age requirement for serving alcohol in the relevant jurisdiction
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, smiling often
- Be available to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and/or weekends as needed
- Perform effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with potential noise and distractions
- Read and understand both handwritten and printed orders and instructions
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds, such as beverage cases or trays of drinks
- Move throughout the facility and stand for extended periods of time
- Walk or stand for the entire duration of the shift
- Frequently reach, bend, stoop, and wipe down surfaces
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending or bar service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and safety regulations
- Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately
- Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
Job Duties
- Consistently provide outstanding guest service by expertly preparing beverages and contributing to a fun and entertaining environment
- Keep supervisors informed of any issues or unusual situations, taking prompt action or suggesting solutions
- Deliver efficient and timely beverage service, managing wait times effectively and communicating necessary information to guests, fellow team members, and managers
- Greet guests warmly and enthusiastically while handling various tasks
- Always smile and acknowledge guests upon arrival
- Assist guests with their drink selections, answer questions knowledgeably, and offer helpful suggestions
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks accurately and efficiently, following established recipes and standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, ensuring all supplies are readily available
- Accurately and responsibly handle cash and credit card transactions
- Verify guest identification to ensure they meet the minimum legal drinking age
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption responsibly and intervene appropriately according to company policies and legal guidelines
- Bid farewell to departing guests, ensuring their satisfaction and inviting them to return
- Inform the Manager of any guest who appears dissatisfied or expresses a complaint
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures regarding the responsible service of alcohol
- Assist with stocking and maintaining the bar inventory
- Regularly clean and sanitize glassware, bar tools, and all work surfaces
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the venue
- Maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with all company team members to promote a harmonious and productive atmosphere
