Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
One plus years of experience as a barback in a high volume, upscale hotel or free standing lounge environments
Ability to stand, stoop, bend repetitively during entire shift
Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shift
Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Effective communication skills
Certification in food service management or equivalent

Job Qualifications

Basic knowledge of wine and spirits
Polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow employees
Exceptional guest service skills
Certifications such as Certified Food Service Manager or TIPS
Effective leadership, management, organizational and communication skills
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

Provide support to bartender and beverage server by stocking service areas and maintaining supplies
Participate in monthly inventory
Stock and maintain supplies in all service areas
Inspect and prepare service ware prior to use
Assist server with removing soiled glasses and plates during heavy volume
Clean and stock glassware
Maintain cleanliness and sanitary condition of lounge and service areas
Assist in post shift clean up and side work duties
Maintain clean and organized storage space
Attend all training sessions and meetings as required
Promote teamwork and notify appropriate individuals of any problems
Greet guests politely and professionally
Prepare mixers and garnishes
Set up bar service area with necessary supplies prior to service
Monitor guest consumption to ensure safety
Record guest orders accurately
Perform closing duties and secure inventory
Notify supervisors of any issues promptly
Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards
