Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a mid to high volume outlet
  • Knowledge of beverage, wine and spirits is helpful
  • High school diploma preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Have good communication skills both speaking and understanding English
  • Display speed, accuracy, attention to detail, courtesy, and anticipation of guests needs
  • Willingness to work long hours on feet in high pressure environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Be in good physical condition with ability to bend, reach overhead, perform pushing and pulling, repetitive hand and wrist motions, and frequent hand washing
  • Must listen and respond to direction
  • Must be over 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Maintain inventory and pars of bar supplies such as ice, paper products, glassware, and china
  • Keep bartenders informed about items needing reorder based on business volume
  • Acknowledge guests and relay orders to bartenders when they are occupied
  • Respond promptly to all bartender requests for assistance and prioritize tasks
  • Deliver bar food from kitchen to bartenders or serve upon request
  • Assist in setting up bar wells when necessary
  • Cut bar fruit daily as needed
  • Inspect glassware to ensure cleanliness and quality
  • Clear bar area by returning used plates and silverware to dish room
  • Rinse blenders and equipment after use
  • Rotate stock to maintain freshness
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of bar storage areas
  • Comply with company, city, and state liquor laws
  • Report to head bartender at the beginning and end of shift and before breaks
  • Complete assigned side work and checklists throughout shift
