Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid food handling certificate
  • alcohol service permit if applicable
  • availability to work flexible hours including events
  • strong physical stamina to handle bar tasks
  • excellent attendance record
  • ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, management, and guests
  • possession of valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required
  • ability to calculate basic math functions related to inventory
  • ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • experience in a high volume bar environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Stock products for the bar including non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages
  • restock icing wells
  • sweep and mop the bar area
  • move kegs in and out of keg coolers and tap kegs
  • draft beer and pour wine for guest orders
  • run supplies including fruit, napkins, cups, utensils and stirrers to bartenders
  • assure location equipment is operable and clean before events
  • maintain cleanliness of bar and surrounding areas using sanitation procedures
  • mop floors and clean and stack floor mats
  • empty and reline trash cans
  • keep storage and closet areas clear of debris
  • recognize visibly intoxicated guests and inform bartenders
  • maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
  • demonstrate excellent attendance and availability for event schedules
