Job Requirements
- Be approachable and able to maintain a friendly demeanor even during busy times
- Be available to work various shifts including days, nights, and/or weekends as needed
- Thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment with a moderate to high noise level
- Be able to understand and communicate instructions and information effectively
- Be able to lift and carry items such as cases of beverages, ice bins, and bus tubs weighing up to 30 pounds
- Move efficiently around the bar area and stand for extended periods
- Be able to walk or stand for the entire duration of their shift
- Frequently reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting helpful but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of bar operations a plus
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Customer service orientation
- Physical stamina to stand and move for long periods
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Duties
- Play a crucial role in delivering top-notch drink service that complements food and games
- Keep the Bartender and immediate supervisor informed about any low stock, spills, or equipment issues, taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
- Provide efficient support by promptly restocking bar supplies, preparing garnishes, and ensuring ice bins are full
- Maintain a positive and helpful attitude while assisting Bartenders and anticipating their needs during busy periods
- Assist with Guest requests by relaying information to the Bartender and ensuring the bar area is clean and organized
- Support Bartenders by retrieving ingredients, glassware, and other necessary items quickly and efficiently
- Ensure empty glasses are collected and the bar area is kept tidy throughout service
- Alert the Bartender or Manager to any Guest issues or concerns observed at the bar
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding responsible alcohol service and safety
- Stock and organize all bar-related supplies including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and garnishes
- Assist with inventory counts of bar stock as required
- Check for and replenish all necessary bar supplies before, during, and after service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entire bar area including counters, shelves, refrigerators, and storage spaces
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure smooth overall operations
- Maintain positive working relationships with all team members to create a supportive and productive environment
- Meet the minimum age requirement for serving or handling alcohol as per local regulations
