Job Requirements
- Must be legally able to serve alcoholic beverages
- Must have reliable transportation
- Able to stand and walk for up to eight hours per shift with limited breaks
- Capable of carrying up to 30 lbs and exerting up to 50 lbs of force
- Able to follow company policies and maintain professional appearance
- Able to multitask, lead, and communicate clearly in spoken and written English
- Able to wear required uniform and follow instructions
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and all scheduled shifts within seniority and scheduling guidelines
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of previous experience as a Bar Back in a high-end dining establishment
- Knowledge of wines, vintages, wine pairings, beer, spirits, and cocktails
- Current local/state food handler's and alcohol beverage service training certifications
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
- Basic familiarity with POS systems and basic math proficiency
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Some college or culinary education beneficial
Job Duties
- Consistently meet Lawry's high standards of service and professionalism
- Prepare drinks for customers using proper bartending techniques, recipes, and glassware
- Handle cash and credit card transactions securely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and appealing bar area throughout the shift
- Assist guests by transferring bar tabs to the dining room and thanking them sincerely
- Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and manage service responsibly
- Follow all company policies including safety, hygiene, and alcohol service laws
