Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- understanding of safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced and physical environment
- good communication and teamwork skills
- attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- basic knowledge of bar operations
- willingness to learn and adhere to company policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area
- retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area
- sets up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf
- ensures beer taps are working properly
- places appropriate bar snacks on counter and keeps supplies stocked throughout shift
- assists in opening and closing side work as assigned
- buses tables in bar area
- helps ensure cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas by washing work tables, walls, refrigerators, and floors
- sweeps and mops service areas including floor mats
- ensures rubbish is removed from Levy areas
- interacts with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards
- locks up and stores all bar food and beverage products and equipment
- performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
- keeps work area clean and organized
- rotates stock using the FIFO method and reports near out of date items to the warehouse
- performs other duties as assigned
