- able to stand and walk for up to eight hours during a shift with limited breaks

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- some college or culinary education beneficial
- at least one year previous experience as a Bar Back in a high-end dining establishment
- current local/state food handler's training certification
- current local/state alcohol beverage service training certification
- basic familiarity with POS systems, calculators, and touch screens
- knowledge of wines, vintages, and wine pairings
- knowledge of beers, spirits, and cocktails
- good math proficiency and knowledge of cash handling
- able to express and exchange ideas in spoken and written English
- legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
- reliable transportation
Job Duties
- assist the bartender in producing, creating, and improving drinks
- assemble drinks into required glassware before serving guests
- follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies
- maintain an organized and hygienic work area including personal hygiene
- meet Lawry's professional service standards, inspiring the WOW Factor level of service
- prepare drinks using proper bartending techniques and recipes
- collect and secure payment from guests, including cash and credit cards
- transfer bar tabs to dining room for guests waiting for tables
- sincerely thank guests and invite them to return
- anticipate and recognize intoxication and stop service professionally
- comply with employment policies including accurate record-keeping and workplace behavior
- maintain company property and assets
- uphold food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrate safe work habits especially with knife handling
- keep bar and back bar clean, organized, and visually appealing
- maintain bar equipment in working order
- stock and arrange glassware and bottles
- work efficiently to expedite guest orders
- contribute to food cost goals through portion control
- follow state liquor laws and company alcohol policies
- track consumption and usage
- assist co-workers and departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- communicate effectively in English with co-workers and guests
- demonstrate knowledge of Lawry's restaurant family history and offerings
- assist guests with menu knowledge and selling techniques
- show effective teamwork and cooperation
- demonstrate competency in POS and TMX systems
- attend all mandatory trainings and meetings
