Job Requirements
- must meet the minimum legal age requirement for serving or handling alcoholic beverages as per local regulations
- be approachable and maintain a friendly and courteous manner even during peak hours
- available to work flexible shifts including days evenings and weekends as required
- able to thrive in a lively fast-paced environment with moderate to high noise levels
- able to understand and effectively communicate instructions and information
- able to lift and carry items such as beverage cases ice containers and bus tubs weighing up to 30 pounds
- able to stand or walk for the entire scheduled shift
- frequently reach bend stoop lift and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a bar assistant or similar support role preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- knowledge of responsible alcohol service and safety regulations
- basic inventory and stock management skills
- ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure
- capable of multitasking efficiently
Job Duties
- plays a key part in delivering excellent drink service that complements food and entertainment contributing to a fun and exciting atmosphere for guests
- keeps the bartender and supervisor informed about low stock levels spills or equipment malfunctions taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
- promptly replenishes bar supplies prepares garnishes and ensures ice levels are maintained to minimize guest wait times
- maintains a positive and helpful attitude supporting bartenders and anticipating their needs during busy periods
- assists with guest inquiries by relaying information to the bartender and ensuring the bar area is clean and well-organized
- supports bartenders by quickly retrieving ingredients glassware and other necessary items
- collects empty glassware and maintains the bar area tidy throughout service
