Job Requirements
- meet the minimum legal age requirement for serving or handling alcoholic beverages as per local regulations
- be approachable and able to maintain a friendly and courteous manner, even during peak hours
- be available to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, and or weekends, as required
- thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment with a moderate to high noise level
- be able to understand and effectively communicate instructions and information
- be able to lift and carry items such as beverage cases, ice containers, and bus tubs, weighing up to 30 pounds
- move efficiently within the bar area and stand for extended periods of time
- be able to walk or stand for the entire duration of their scheduled shift
- frequently reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting preferred
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong organizational skills
- ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- knowledge of responsible alcohol service policies is a plus
Job Duties
- play a key part in delivering excellent drink service that complements our food and entertainment, contributing to a fun and exciting atmosphere for our guests
- keep the bartender and immediate supervisor informed about any low stock levels, spills, or equipment malfunctions, taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
- provide efficient assistance by promptly replenishing bar supplies, preparing garnishes, and ensuring ice levels are maintained, helping to minimize guest wait times
- maintain a positive and helpful attitude while supporting the bartenders and anticipating their needs during busy periods
- assist with guest inquiries by relaying information to the bartender and ensuring the bar area is clean and well-organized for a positive guest experience
- support the bartender by quickly and efficiently retrieving ingredients, glassware, and other necessary items
- ensure that empty glassware is collected and the bar area remains tidy throughout service
