Job Requirements
- Meet the minimum legal age requirement for serving or handling alcoholic beverages as per local regulations
- Be approachable and maintain a friendly and courteous manner even during peak hours
- Be available to work flexible shifts including days evenings and weekends as required
- Thrive in a lively fast-paced environment with moderate to high noise level
- Be able to understand and effectively communicate instructions and information
- Be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
- Move efficiently within the bar area and stand for extended periods of time
- Be able to walk or stand for the entire duration of scheduled shift
- Frequently reach bend stoop lift and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Basic knowledge of bar operations and drink service
- Ability to follow safety and responsible alcohol service guidelines
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist coworkers and guests
Job Duties
- Plays a key part in delivering excellent drink service that complements food and entertainment contributing to a fun and exciting atmosphere for guests
- Keeps the bartender and immediate supervisor informed about any low stock levels spills or equipment malfunctions taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
- Provides efficient assistance by promptly replenishing bar supplies preparing garnishes and ensuring ice levels are maintained helping to minimize guest wait times
- Maintains a positive and helpful attitude while supporting the bartenders and anticipating their needs during busy periods
- Assists with guest inquiries by relaying information to the bartender and ensuring the bar area is clean and well-organized for a positive guest experience
- Supports the bartender by quickly and efficiently retrieving ingredients glassware and other necessary items
- Ensures that empty glassware is collected and the bar area remains tidy throughout service
