Job Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar position, preferably in luxury environment
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays
  • Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the Bar
  • Ability to operate with grace under pressure
  • Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
  • Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of wine and beverages
  • Be able to relate to all levels of guests and management

  • Have excellent communication and organization skills

Job Duties

  • Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure guest satisfaction and the achievement of our mission statement
  • Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Departmental Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure guest satisfaction and the achievement of our mission statement
  • Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Guiding Principles and D.E.L.I.G.H.T as part of ensuring guest satisfaction and the achievement of our mission statement
  • Maintain and update as necessary the beverage offerings at the Bar and the Lounge
  • Provide leadership and support for Bartenders and Servers
  • Trains, evaluates and schedules Bartenders and Servers
  • Performs administrative duties such as, but not limited to, scheduling, payroll and inventory, and ordering
  • Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the Bar
  • Manage proper staffing level
  • Manage proper supplies level
  • Constant training and development of colleagues
  • Chair monthly departmental meeting
  • Conduct daily pre-shift communications with colleagues
  • Ensure Bar service standards
  • To visit all of our guest tables during or after their visit, to ensure satisfaction
  • To manage, coach, and counsel colleagues, including disciplinary procedures
  • Liaise with guest relations and front office teams to communicate all group information/changes to existing information to appropriate hotel colleagues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Coordinate all aspects of service to include but not limited to food and beverage requirements, timing of events, special attention guests, table setup, special requests, billing instructions, authorized signatures, decor (to include floral) requirements
  • Report all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the management
  • Understands and follow the laws and guidelines for beverage service
  • Provides instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations
  • Highly knowledgeable about the Reservation System and InfoGenesis POS system
  • Ensures accuracy of all menus: current, correct, spelled correctly, clean and presentable
  • Ensures menu descriptions are up to date and distributed appropriately
  • Assists with check reconciliation with regards to voids, promos and discounted items. Assures that checks are settled in an honest and accurate way
  • Develops yearly budget
  • Develop semi-monthly pace report
  • Develop monthly forecast
  • Monitor payroll of department
  • Review and approve departmental PAFs
  • Attend scheduled food and beverage meetings
  • Develop and update menus, as appropriate
  • Revise standard and procedures for department, as necessary
