Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years bartending experience
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests
  • Completion of TIPS alcohol training and valid Food Handler Card within 30 days
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to operate POS and phone systems
  • Ability to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Must maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • Availability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Willingness to adhere to all safety and health policies

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years bartending experience, ideally in a hotel or resort
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Extensive knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and beverage preparation
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests and maintain confidentiality when needed
  • Completion of required training as scheduled
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to learn and operate POS and phone systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to work varying schedules including holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must complete TIPS alcohol training and obtain a valid Food Handler Card within 30 days of employment
  • Knowledge of applicable health standards and alcohol service regulations
  • Must maintain a clean and professional appearance

Job Duties

  • Prepare beverages according to standard recipes, ensuring proper portion control
  • Provide guests with a fun, energetic, and professional dining experience while upholding hotel service standards
  • Set up and maintain the bar daily, including requisitioning and stocking all beverages, mixers, garnishes, condiments, and glassware
  • Open and close the bar following established procedures
  • Describe and recommend wines, beers, and spirits
  • Upsell food and beverage items and accommodate special requests and dietary needs
  • Accurately handle cash, credit card, and room charge transactions in accordance with company policies
  • Balance the bank and calculate tip-outs each shift
  • Follow all food-handling, sanitation, TIPS, and health department guidelines
  • Wear required non-slip, oil-resistant shoes and follow all safety policies
  • Use PPE as required
  • Report safety concerns
  • Comply with HAZMAT procedures and MSDS documentation
  • Maintain reliable and punctual attendance
  • Dispose of waste, wash glassware, and wipe down all surfaces to maintain bar cleanliness
  • Ensure minors and visibly intoxicated individuals are not served alcohol
  • Report guest issues or disruptive behavior to management
  • Complete opening and closing inventories, requisitions, and all required paperwork
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment problems, and accidents to management
  • Resolve guest complaints within authority or escalate to management or Security
  • Report unusual incidents, missing items, or suspected theft
