Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of relevant experience in banquet or event setup
  • ability to handle physical tasks associated with setup and breakdown
  • strong attention to detail and punctuality
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • One year of meetings setup experience in hospitality industry preferably in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 rooms)
  • detail oriented
  • self-motivated
  • able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • team player willing to assist others promptly
  • flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions which include meeting rooms, breaks, audio visual and other equipment
  • be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow associates and management at all times
  • maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas including carpets, floors, walls, doors, windows, and HVAC units
  • break down banquet spaces after functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly
  • perform other duties as requested by management
