Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
- 5-7 years of event planning experience in luxury or full-service hotel
- proven leadership experience
- strong organizational skills
- excellent communication and negotiation skills
- proficiency in event management software
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods during event setup
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field
- minimum 5-7 years of experience in event planning preferably in luxury or full-service hotel environment
- proven leadership experience managing a team
- strong organizational and time management skills
- excellent communication and negotiation skills
- proficiency in event management software such as Delphi, Opera Sales and Catering, Social Tables
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients
- conduct site inspections, proposals, and negotiations
- develop strong client relationships
- manage all phases of event planning including budgeting and timelines
- coordinate with internal hotel departments
- oversee event setup and breakdown
- lead, train, and mentor event coordinators and staff
- delegate responsibilities and conduct performance reviews
- prepare event budgets and financial analysis
- maximize event revenue and optimize space utilization
- ensure billing and contract adherence
- collaborate with Sales and Marketing on event booking strategies
- identify market trends and contribute to promotional initiatives
