Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
  • 5-7 years of event planning experience in luxury or full-service hotel
  • proven leadership experience
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • proficiency in event management software
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods during event setup

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field
  • minimum 5-7 years of experience in event planning preferably in luxury or full-service hotel environment
  • proven leadership experience managing a team
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • proficiency in event management software such as Delphi, Opera Sales and Catering, Social Tables
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients
  • conduct site inspections, proposals, and negotiations
  • develop strong client relationships
  • manage all phases of event planning including budgeting and timelines
  • coordinate with internal hotel departments
  • oversee event setup and breakdown
  • lead, train, and mentor event coordinators and staff
  • delegate responsibilities and conduct performance reviews
  • prepare event budgets and financial analysis
  • maximize event revenue and optimize space utilization
  • ensure billing and contract adherence
  • collaborate with Sales and Marketing on event booking strategies
  • identify market trends and contribute to promotional initiatives
