Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in event planning in a hotel environment
- proven leadership and team management skills
- excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
- proficiency with event management software
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods during event setup and execution
- ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment with long hours during peak seasons and large events
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field
- minimum 5-7 years of event planning experience preferably in luxury or full-service hotel environment
- proven leadership experience managing a team
- strong organizational and time management skills
- keen attention to detail
- excellent communication and negotiation skills
- proficiency in event management software such as Delphi, Opera Sales and Catering, Social Tables
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Serve as primary point of contact for key clients
- conduct site inspections, proposals, and negotiations
- develop strong client relationships
- manage all phases of event planning including budgeting, timelines, vendor coordination, setup, and execution
- liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery
- oversee event setup and breakdown according to brand standards
- lead, train, and mentor junior event coordinators and staff
- delegate responsibilities and ensure team performance
- conduct performance reviews and assist with staffing decisions
- prepare event budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
- maximize event revenue through upselling and space optimization
- ensure proper billing and contract adherence
- collaborate with Sales and Marketing on strategies to increase bookings
- identify market trends and incorporate customer feedback
- contribute to marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives
