Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in event planning in a hotel environment
  • proven leadership and team management skills
  • excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
  • proficiency with event management software
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods during event setup and execution
  • ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment with long hours during peak seasons and large events

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field
  • minimum 5-7 years of event planning experience preferably in luxury or full-service hotel environment
  • proven leadership experience managing a team
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • keen attention to detail
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • proficiency in event management software such as Delphi, Opera Sales and Catering, Social Tables
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Serve as primary point of contact for key clients
  • conduct site inspections, proposals, and negotiations
  • develop strong client relationships
  • manage all phases of event planning including budgeting, timelines, vendor coordination, setup, and execution
  • liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • oversee event setup and breakdown according to brand standards
  • lead, train, and mentor junior event coordinators and staff
  • delegate responsibilities and ensure team performance
  • conduct performance reviews and assist with staffing decisions
  • prepare event budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
  • maximize event revenue through upselling and space optimization
  • ensure proper billing and contract adherence
  • collaborate with Sales and Marketing on strategies to increase bookings
  • identify market trends and incorporate customer feedback
  • contribute to marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives
