Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in event management, preferably in a luxury or full-service hotel environment
  • Proven leadership experience with strong team management capabilities
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing abilities
  • Proficiency in event management software such as Delphi, Opera Sales & Catering, and Social Tables
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Act as the primary liaison for key clients from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up
  • Conduct site tours, develop customized proposals, and lead contract negotiations in alignment with hotel standards
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with repeat and VIP clients to foster loyalty and repeat business
  • Lead all phases of event planning, including budgeting, timelines, vendor coordination, and on-site execution
  • Coordinate cross-departmentally with teams such as Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office, and AV to ensure smooth event delivery
  • Supervise event setup and breakdown, ensuring alignment with brand standards and client expectations
  • Manage, mentor, and develop junior event coordinators and support staff
  • Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance to ensure excellence in execution
  • Conduct regular team evaluations and contribute to hiring and staffing decisions
  • Create and manage event budgets, forecasts, and post-event financial reports
  • Maximize revenue opportunities through strategic upselling and efficient space utilization
  • Ensure accurate billing and adherence to contractual agreements
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing to develop initiatives that drive event bookings
  • Analyze market trends, client feedback, and competitive offerings to enhance service offerings
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of promotional campaigns and packages
