Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Availability for full-time 11-week temporary position
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and sanitation standards
  • Must be able to work on-site at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld
  • Willingness to engage in continuous improvement and training

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of banquet operations and event legislation
  • Ability to manage financial and administrative tasks

  • Capable of conducting training and development sessions
  • Experience in handling guest relations and resolving complaints
  • Competency in emergency procedures and staff safety training
  • Proven ability to plan and execute operational strategies

Job Duties

  • Direct and motivate banquet team to provide high quality service
  • Monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
  • Provide clear and concise communication to all stakeholders
  • Identify training opportunities and develop strategies to achieve goals
  • Manage departmental supply needs and inventories
  • Apply knowledge of laws related to event management
  • Schedule banquet service staff to meet forecast and maximize profits
  • Lead banquet shifts and participate in event service
  • Set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance
  • Conduct monthly department meetings with banquet team
  • Act as liaison to kitchen staff
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Communicate and execute emergency procedures
  • Observe and provide feedback on employee service behaviors
  • Participate in corrective action plans
  • Review guest satisfaction survey results and implement improvements
  • Attend and participate in all pertinent meetings
