Job Requirements

  • Minimum four years experience in hotel banquet senior management in a high-volume luxury hotel
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, or carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and move for extended periods
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to perform under high levels of stress

Job Duties

  • Represents management at functions
  • Determines set-ups in conjunction with sales team leaders
  • Coordinates functions with service staff and banquet leadership
  • Ensures guest satisfaction through effective supervision and delegation
  • Checks on food quality and courteous performance of banquet staff
  • Coordinates with Stewarding Department to recover food leftovers and minimize waste
  • Briefs waiters on functions and procedures
  • Establishes and maintains high standards of quality service through training
  • Maintains banquet equipment and inventory
  • Maintains records, reports, and payroll costs
  • Inspects function rooms and arranges maintenance
  • Adjusts staffing levels according to business volume fluctuations
  • Maximizes department profits through effective management
  • Keeps updated on food and wine trends
  • Assists with set-up, break-down, and execution of banquet functions
  • Performs other duties as required
