Job Duties
- direct and motivate team to provide high quality service
- monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
- provide clear and concise communication to all stakeholders
- identify training opportunities and plan strategy to achieve goals
- manage banquet operations including projecting supply needs and scheduling staff
- apply knowledge of laws related to events and adhere to standards and policies
- maintain sanitation and manage inventories and equipment
- control liquor costs using banquet beverage records
- develop and maintain relationships with groups to retain business
- set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance
- conduct monthly department meetings
- lead shifts and participate in servicing of events
- set positive example for guest relations
- interact with guests to obtain feedback
- respond to and handle guest complaints
- empower employees to provide excellent customer service
- ensure employees understand expectations and parameters
- communicate and execute safety and emergency procedures
- observe and provide feedback on employee service behaviors
- monitor progress and lead staff discussions
- participate in corrective action plans and continuous improvement efforts
