Job Requirements

  • Full-time management position with full schedule flexibility including weekends and holidays
  • Desire to understand and anticipate guest needs in a fast-paced environment
  • High energy and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Effective communicator and team developer
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Creative, innovative, detail oriented and organized
  • Prior hotel banquet service experience
  • Experience in event services management roles preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Hotel experience with thorough understanding of banquet service levels
  • Previous experience as an Event Services Manager, Assistant, Captain, or Event Services Supervisor preferred
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Creativity and innovation in event setup and decor
  • Detail oriented and highly organized

Job Duties

  • Support and manage the Events Department while collaborating with the Food and Beverage Director and other hotel departments
  • Supervise, empower, lead, coach and motivate the banquet team including captains, servers, and lead house attendants
  • Review Banquet Event Orders to ensure thorough communication with guests and departments
  • Ensure proper and timely setup of all functions and meetings maintaining food, beverage, and meeting specifications
  • Proactively review staffing and equipment needs for events
  • Coordinate and execute all events with Culinary, Stewarding, Catering, CS Floor and Beverage teams
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of banquet areas and storerooms to ensure compliance with health regulations and corporate standards
