Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Industry experience in food and beverage, hospitality, or tourism
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license required
  • ServSafe Manager certification post-employment
  • Associate’s degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred
  • 3 years relevant work experience may substitute education
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to reach forward frequently
  • Able to climb stairs frequently
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent reaching overhead
  • Constant finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Occasional stooping
  • Frequent bending, standing, and walking
  • Good vision with or without correction
  • Ability to operate moving equipment
  • Ability to perform detailed work at close distances
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle atmospheric conditions such as fumes and odors
  • Must work safely around mechanical parts and vehicles
  • Ability to handle noise and environmental conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Experienced in managing large banquets and off-site events
  • Proven leadership and coaching capabilities
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to foster team unity and common purpose
  • Skilled in menu development for various dining formats

Job Duties

  • Train kitchen staff regarding food preparation, presentation, sanitation, and safety practices
  • Order supplies and take inventory of food items to maintain adequate supply levels
  • Verify receipt and proper storage of supplies
  • Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen areas
  • Maintain equipment and submit service and repair requests
  • Organize, schedule, and direct kitchen staff to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe kitchen operations
  • Work on the line during service and assist as needed
  • Develop menus for catering guides and custom requests
  • Maintain updated specifications and recipes
  • Supervise and lead banquet culinary staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff
  • Attend management meetings concerning banquets and events
  • Communicate updates to all production areas
  • Monitor safety and sanitary practices and enforce proper food handling and storage
  • Coordinate food orders and manage supplies and small wares
  • Perform other duties as assigned
