Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related field
- Ability to manage departmental inventories and employee attendance
- Skilled in enforcing sanitation and safety standards
- Proficient in scheduling and staff supervision
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Capability to interact with guests and resolve problems
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and meetings
- Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Knowledge of banquet operations and inventory management
- Ability to lead and motivate service teams
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards
- Basic understanding of food and wine pairings
- Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve complaints effectively
Job Duties
- Assists in managing departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment
- Maintains attendance log for banquet employees
- Maintains and enforces established sanitation levels
- Adheres to and reinforces all standards, policies, and procedures
- Ensures employee awareness of the event phase portion of the Meeting Planner Survey and Guest Satisfaction Scores
- Orders supplies for the department such as china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, props, and other service equipment needs
- Uses banquet beverage use records to guide banquet beverage supervisor in controlling liquor costs and managing beverage inventory
- Understands the impact of banquet operations on event success and manages activities to maximize customer satisfaction
- Assists in scheduling banquet service staff to forecast and service standards while maximizing profits
- Attends and participates in all pertinent meetings
- Leads shifts and actively participates in servicing events
- Applies and broadens knowledge of food and wine pairings and overall event presentation
- Sets a positive example for guest relations
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
- Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints
- Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service
- Strives to improve service performance
- Supports departmental orientation and new hire training
- Ensures employees understand expectations and parameters
- Observes service behaviors and provides feedback to employees
- Reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with staff
- Communicates and executes emergency procedures and trains staff in safety protocols
