Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum four years of event planning experience
  • Experience managing high-volume events with financial accountability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Club Essentials and backend systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout facility for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry event-related materials and supplies
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Must follow chain of command
  • Must possess professionalism, discretion, and integrity

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum four years of event planning experience at manager level in private country club or similar environment
  • Proven success managing high-volume, high-touch events with financial accountability
  • Strong written, verbal, budgeting, and client-facing communication skills
  • Experience in member-driven, service-focused organizations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar
  • Familiarity with Club Essentials and other backend operating systems
  • Skilled in budgeting, receipt tracking, financial reporting, and operational tools
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize objectives
  • Creative and outgoing with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Positive, team-oriented, and collaborative attitude
  • Ability to analyze, solve problems, and handle multiple priorities under pressure
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and well-organized contributor to leadership team

Job Duties

  • Own and manage the club’s master events calendar
  • Collaborate across departments to develop integrated annual master event plans
  • Plan and implement strategic direction to achieve revenue and participation targets
  • Continuously evaluate event performance and improve programming
  • Produce and manage all events ensuring high standards of service and execution
  • Coordinate site visits, tastings, planning meetings, staffing, and logistics
  • Work closely with culinary, beverage, facilities, golf, and service teams
  • Identify and implement upselling opportunities
  • Establish and grow client base through inside and outside sales efforts
  • Contribute to event and food and beverage sales strategies
  • Develop and execute marketing, communications, and financial plans
  • Represent the club professionally in sales and networking
  • Develop and monitor event budgets, contracts, invoicing, and financial reconciliation
  • Maintain financial controls including forecasting, revenue tracking, and payroll
  • Utilize club systems for budgeting, financial reporting, and documentation
  • Model the club’s commitment to service excellence
  • Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Lead, listen, and collaborate effectively
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
