Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Possession of Liquor commission card
- Ability to anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs
- Knowledge of banquet function room measurements and equipment
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with variable weather
- Ability to follow instructions and read banquet event orders
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience in hospitality or banquet services preferred

- Knowledgeable of various banquet function set-ups and banquet table inventories
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving heavy equipment and setting up tents and stages
Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, standards
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
- Anticipate guests’ need, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work area
- Follow through with all directives and tasks assigned by supervisors and Catering Sales Staff
- Know the location of all Banquet facilities, Function rooms, storage, and kitchen areas
- Be knowledgeable in the measurements of all Banquet function rooms, table sizes, chairs, lecterns, pianos, tents, and function signboards
- Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all the equipment
- Know the inventory and location of supplies, materials, and equipment for efficient retrieval
- Be able to read, understand and execute a complete function room set up based on the Banquet Event Order
- Be familiar with various meal period sets and meeting set ups such as buffets, bars, beverage stations, cooking stations, carving stations, classroom, theater, chevron seating
- Ability to set up gazebos and white chairs for wedding ceremonies
- Perform all other duties as assigned
