Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in banquet leadership
  • Knowledge of federal state and local food and liquor laws and regulations
  • Ability to train and enforce responsible alcohol service
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • High work ethic and ability to multitask
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift 40 pounds stand walk and perform repetitive tasks
  • Basic computational skills
  • Must maintain confidentiality and professional relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in banquet leadership
  • Knowledge of federal state and local laws and regulations related to food and liquor service
  • Ability to train bar staff in responsible alcohol service
  • Strong business communication and presentation skills both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • High work ethic and self initiative
  • Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and guests
  • Leadership skills to conduct departmental and hotel team meetings
  • Basic computational ability
  • Experience using MICROS system or similar POS systems

Job Duties

  • Organize and facilitate all banquet events to meet guest needs including room setup audio visual food and beverage and staffing
  • Supervise guide and train all banquet and restaurant associates to perform their job duties effectively
  • Schedule evaluate and direct banquet and restaurant personnel including disciplinary actions if necessary
  • Maintain open communication between management and associates
  • Ensure appropriate inventory of supplies and materials including glass china silverware and A/V equipment
  • Establish direct and review liquor procedures ensuring security and accountability
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless execution of contracted events
  • Maintain sanitation levels and operating standards in banquet and restaurant areas
  • Control forecasting and payroll in banquet and restaurant departments
  • Assure prompt professional service to guests
  • Manage all required paperwork for accounting and product control
  • Conduct interviews and hire personnel as needed
  • Review and approve all staff evaluations hires job transfers warnings counseling and termination records
  • Enforce alcohol awareness policy and food handling guidelines
  • Operate MICROS system or registers efficiently
  • Organize and oversee physical setup of banquet activities according to BEOs
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure effective hotel operation
