Job Requirements

  • Prior experience as server, captain, or set-up
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills and ability to use calculator for moderately complex calculations
  • Ability to listen effectively and speak English clearly
  • Ability to access and accurately input information in moderately complex systems
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to sit and perform tasks in office atmosphere
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • High school or equivalent education
  • 4-year degree in hotel and restaurant field preferred
  • Ability to organize and direct department functions and professionally handle guests and employees

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 4-year degree in hotel and restaurant field preferred
  • Ability to organize and direct various department functions
  • Ability to deal with guests and employees in a fair, rational, equitable, and professional manner

Job Duties

  • Coordinates banquet service needs with food production
  • Maintains the highest quality of banquet service
  • Maintains warm, hospitable guest relations
  • Maintains accurate banquet and function records including banquet checks
  • Maintains adequate inventories of banquet service supplies
  • Maintains high quality image of the hotel through housekeeping, maintenance, and sanitation
  • Interfaces with other hotel departments to ensure harmonious working relationships
  • Attends F&B, BEO, Safety, and Department head meetings and communicates relevant information
  • Executes office duties such as daily set-up checklists and formatting tip sheets
  • Inducts, orients, and trains assigned associates
  • Ensures good safety practices of associates and assists in emergency action plans
  • Fulfills all subordinate positions like set-up, serving and bartending as needed
  • Performs special projects and other duties as requested
