  • Able to read, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to lift, push, and carry 20-40 lbs
  • Ability to stand continuously for long periods
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, and guests

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Able to read, speak, and understand English
  • Strong communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and management
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting 20-40 lbs
  • Experience or familiarity with banquet or event service operations preferred

Job Duties

  • Check server's and house person's BEOs to ensure all information is accurate
  • Check room set-up to confirm BEO directions are fully followed and public areas are neat and clean
  • Contact and communicate with group representatives, offering assistance as needed
  • Ensure food and beverage items are correctly presented and served following standards and special event instructions
  • Maintain constant communication between Culinary Department Representative and Banquet Team during events, addressing any schedule changes or issues
  • Compile event charges accurately and present checks for client signature
  • Complete all necessary paperwork including Captain's Consumption Sheets and Reports, and distribute copies appropriately
  • Oversee equipment return and ensure banquet areas are clean and orderly post-event
  • Assign duties to banquet staff and supporting captains, managing attendance and sign-in sheets
  • Prepare banquet areas thoroughly before guest arrival
  • Recap all banquet checks daily and forward to Night Audit
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers
