Job Requirements

  • minimum of 19 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to communicate in English
  • ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • solid administrative and math skills

Job Qualifications

  • previous service or leadership experience
  • three or more years of banquet experience preferably in a four-diamond property
  • knowledge of various food-service styles including plated, buffet, French, Russian, table-side, and butler service
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • solid math, accounting, administrative, and supervisory skills
  • ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • knowledge of office organizational practices
  • ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Duties

  • take complete ownership and accountability of an event from planning to post-con stages
  • ensure operational excellence and enforcement of hotel and departmental standards
  • assist in writing additional policies and procedures
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the department
  • promote effective communication through various channels
  • maintain confidential and secure record keeping
  • manage forecasting, scheduling, and payroll procedures
  • understand and apply knowledge of CI, accounts receivable, event information, and equipment maintenance
  • prepare consumption forms for accurate billing
  • attend and participate in meetings as directed
  • maintain accurate information on event orders
  • assist in preparation and distribution of BEO packets and daily communications
  • ensure buffet and product signs are created
  • delegate duties and provide coaching and guidance
  • stay updated on current trends in banquet products and services
