Job Requirements
- minimum of 19 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- previous supervisory experience preferred
- ability to communicate in English
- ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- solid administrative and math skills
Job Qualifications
- previous service or leadership experience
- three or more years of banquet experience preferably in a four-diamond property
- knowledge of various food-service styles including plated, buffet, French, Russian, table-side, and butler service
- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- solid math, accounting, administrative, and supervisory skills
- ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- knowledge of office organizational practices
- ability to maintain confidentiality
Job Duties
- take complete ownership and accountability of an event from planning to post-con stages
- ensure operational excellence and enforcement of hotel and departmental standards
- assist in writing additional policies and procedures
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the department
- promote effective communication through various channels
- maintain confidential and secure record keeping
- manage forecasting, scheduling, and payroll procedures
- understand and apply knowledge of CI, accounts receivable, event information, and equipment maintenance
- prepare consumption forms for accurate billing
- attend and participate in meetings as directed
- maintain accurate information on event orders
- assist in preparation and distribution of BEO packets and daily communications
- ensure buffet and product signs are created
- delegate duties and provide coaching and guidance
- stay updated on current trends in banquet products and services
