Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of two years in a lead or supervisory role in the food service industry
- Knowledge of Iowa Department of Health and Sanitation laws and regulations
- Knowledge of Iowa Beverage laws
- Experience with collective bargaining environments preferred
- Must understand inventory procedures and inventory control
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Training and customer service skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Detail oriented
- Creative
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with labor controls and productivity-based scheduling preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to push carts up to 150 lbs
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours

Job Duties
- Review upcoming banquet event orders to ensure thorough understanding of all requirements and proper execution of guest requests
- Assist the Assistant Director of Conference Operations in identifying, developing, and evaluating strategies to increase revenue, control costs, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Work directly with clients and adjust specifications as necessary to ensure all details are correct, and handle client complaints and requests in a timely manner
- Observe, direct, and assist service staff during client events
- Assist hiring, training, coaching, and issuing discipline as needed and ensure staffing levels are adequate and meet budget requirements
