Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in banquet or event supervision preferred
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods and handle moderate lifting
  • availability to work major holidays
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • knowledge of food service regulations and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Coordinate communication and service flow between the kitchen and banquet floor staff
  • supervise banquet staff and delegate responsibilities for each event
  • review seating diagrams and event details for accuracy and feasibility
  • ensure adherence to all employer policies, food service regulations, and health and safety standards
  • inspect staff uniforms and overall presentation prior to each event
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the banquet floor, kitchen, and storage areas
  • address and resolve guest concerns and ensure guest satisfaction
  • prepare detailed reports and assist with billing and post-event summaries
  • uphold the William Penn Inn’s culture of elegance, hospitality, and excellence
  • step in as a server or bartender when needed
  • must be available to work major holidays including Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s Day
