Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • minimum four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
  • or two-year degree from an accredited university in culinary arts, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
  • minimum two years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area with degree
  • strong leadership skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen tasks safely
  • commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and staff effectively

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with food and beverage policies
  • estimates daily production needs and communicates them to kitchen staff
  • assists executive chef with kitchen operations and food preparation
  • prepares and cooks foods of all types
  • develops and creates new culinary applications and food presentations
  • maintains purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
  • ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • supervises and coordinates food preparation staff
  • leads shifts while personally preparing food items
  • utilizes communication skills to lead and motivate the team
  • encourages mutual trust and respect among team members
  • ensures employees understand expectations and job responsibilities
  • manages day-to-day kitchen operations to meet quality and customer satisfaction standards
  • provides outstanding customer service and handles guest complaints
