Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a kitchen environment preferably in banquets
  • ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • previous experience in banquet or large scale food service
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to develop and innovate menu items
  • excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • assist in supervising preparation and cooking of various food items
  • develop menu items and their preparation and garnishment
  • supervise kitchen associates
  • assist with associate training and scheduling of cooks and sous chefs
  • assist in monitoring payroll costs and overtime
  • support culinary direction of the chef and adhere to all brand standards
  • may manage department scheduling, discipline, and/or hiring
  • work with the executive chef to develop new banquet menus and recipes
