Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a kitchen environment preferably in banquets
- ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- knowledge of food safety regulations
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- culinary degree or equivalent experience
- previous experience in banquet or large scale food service
- strong leadership and team management skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to develop and innovate menu items
- excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- assist in supervising preparation and cooking of various food items
- develop menu items and their preparation and garnishment
- supervise kitchen associates
- assist with associate training and scheduling of cooks and sous chefs
- assist in monitoring payroll costs and overtime
- support culinary direction of the chef and adhere to all brand standards
- may manage department scheduling, discipline, and/or hiring
- work with the executive chef to develop new banquet menus and recipes
