Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • Two years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations and lead staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capability to handle guest issues
  • Proficiency in scheduling and labor management systems

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage kitchen shift operations and ensure compliance with food and beverage policies
  • Estimate daily production needs and communicate them to kitchen personnel
  • Assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations and preparation
  • Prepare and cook various foods regularly or for special functions
  • Develop new culinary applications, ideas, and presentations
  • Ensure food handling, sanitation standards, and equipment maintenance
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities
  • Lead by example and maintain productivity levels
  • Conduct employee training and performance appraisals
  • Address guest complaints and promote exceptional customer service
