Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years previous supervisory experience in culinary or food & beverage departments
  • Ability to work all shifts including AMs, PMs, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and food & beverage systems
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English
  • Physical ability to lift, push, pull and carry food items and operate kitchen equipment
  • Continuous standing during shifts
  • Flexible to work eight to ten hour shifts with variable schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Three to five years previous supervisory experience in multiple culinary/food & beverage departments in fast paced luxury environment
  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and food & beverage computer systems
  • Proficient reading, writing and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to supervise, demonstrate and expedite in kitchen production areas
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying food items and operating culinary equipment

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the kitchen department responsible for food preparation while ensuring superior quality and consistency
  • Assist in the planning and development of recipes
  • Ensure the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared through production and demonstration
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control
  • Supervise, demonstrate and expedite in various kitchen production areas
  • Operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen
