Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • three or more years of hotel food and beverage experience or culinary degree with relevant experience
  • ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • physical ability to perform job duties including standing and walking for extended periods
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years of progressive hotel food and beverage experience
  • culinary degree with two or more years of related experience
  • experience in high volume catering and fine dining
  • proven leadership and team development skills
  • knowledge of culinary trends
  • creativity and strong service skills
  • computer literacy

Job Duties

  • Direct and supervise food production areas
  • assist Executive Chef in food preparation
  • ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and kitchen safety
  • minimize waste and control food costs
  • monitor food outlets and displays for quality and creativity
  • schedule and train kitchen staff
  • assist food and beverage services for events
  • coordinate with hotel departments for catered services
  • oversee menu creation for staff restaurant
  • respond to food-related feedback
  • maintain kitchen equipment
  • participate in departmental meetings and hotel committees
