Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- three or more years of hotel food and beverage experience or culinary degree with relevant experience
- ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- physical ability to perform job duties including standing and walking for extended periods
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
Job Qualifications
- Three or more years of progressive hotel food and beverage experience
- culinary degree with two or more years of related experience
- experience in high volume catering and fine dining
- proven leadership and team development skills
- knowledge of culinary trends
- creativity and strong service skills
- computer literacy
Job Duties
- Direct and supervise food production areas
- assist Executive Chef in food preparation
- ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and kitchen safety
- minimize waste and control food costs
- monitor food outlets and displays for quality and creativity
- schedule and train kitchen staff
- assist food and beverage services for events
- coordinate with hotel departments for catered services
- oversee menu creation for staff restaurant
- respond to food-related feedback
- maintain kitchen equipment
- participate in departmental meetings and hotel committees
