Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certification preferred
  • Equivalent work experience accepted
  • Alcohol awareness certification or food service permit as required
  • Must meet local legal age requirements to serve alcohol
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Ability to handle long hours, nights, and weekends
  • Capable of medium physical work including lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Must convey information clearly and assess situations quickly
  • Able to handle guest complaints and maintain composure under pressure
  • Effective problem solving and listening skills
  • Basic arithmetic and financial data handling

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Alcohol awareness certification or food service permit as required by local law
  • Meet local legal age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Bilingual abilities
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Problem-solving and guest service skills
  • Familiarity with banquet event orders and service standards

Job Duties

  • Set up, refresh, tear down and maintain all meeting spaces according to banquet event orders
  • Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and courteously
  • Replenish buffet bars and produce commissary food items
  • Clean and organize work areas and banquet storerooms
  • Respond quickly and professionally to guest requests and complaints
  • Assist with audio visual equipment set up and break down
  • Ensure compliance with DHM standards and safety regulations
